Scientific Club

In 1999, I founded the GREEN ENERGY Science Club, which was the first active club at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels, and thus initiated a dynamically developing student scientific movement at this Faculty. From the very beginning I have also been the head of this club.

GREEN ENERGY Science Club debuted at the International Scientific Conference entitled "AGH University of Science and Technology in the Face of the Challenges of the 21st Century in Education, Research and Cooperation with Industry, which took place on June 24-25, 1999 in Kraków. As early as December 1999, members of the GREEN ENERGY Science Club appeared for the first time at the Session of the Student Science Clubs of the Mining Division in the Environmental Protection Section.

From the very beginning of its existence, thanks to my commitment, members of the GREEN ENERGY Science Club took an active part in the student scientific movement and were very active in both scientific and organisational activity, achieving many spectacular successes, which resulted, among others, in over 200 publications and papers that have repeatedly occupied leading places at student science club sessions and conferences.

Currently, the GREEN ENERGY Science Club operates in the following sections, i.e.:

The main idea that has been guiding the GREEN ENERGY Science Club from the very beginning until today has been to support the scientific and professional development of its members. The subject of the work undertaken and the profile of the club's activity meet the expectations of the modern labour market. From 1999 to 2020, as many as 280 members were active in the work of the GREEN ENEGY Science Club

The very intense activity of the GREEN ENERGY Science Club was noticed and highly assessed by the University and the State Accreditation Commission, which visited the Faculty of Fuels and Energy in 2002 and 2003, granting five-year certificates of high quality education in the field of chemical technology, and the involvement of the head of the club was appreciated by the President of the AGH University of Science and Technology, as evidenced by the award "Diploma of Recognition in 2003: for inspiration and creative contribution to the flourishing of the student scientific movement at the AGH University of Science and Technology" and in 2006 the "Diploma of Recognition: for commitment and work for the student scientific movement at the AGH University of Science and Technology." In addition, in 2005 for achievements in the development of the student scientific movement I received the AGH President's Award for organisational achievements, and in 2015 the AGH President's Award for didactic achievements.

The changing realities of the modern world and the emerging challenges and expectations of university graduates are constantly evolving the profile of the GREEN ENERGY Science Club's activities. In connection with the above, the club will in the next years develop its activity focusing on cooperation with other universities, including foreign universities. This development is possible thanks to my extensive cooperation with many research centres both in the country and abroad. Increasing emphasis in the club's work will also be placed on cooperation with industry and implementation work.
